MVT –
The Mechanical Variable Transmission

  • Gear engagement is performed by a very compact Mechanical Super Coupling (MSC).

  • The MSC's design allows gear engagement without need of synchronization.

  • The engagement/disengagement of gears is controlled by a single independent shaft.
     

  • The MSC size is extremely compact thus the MVT gearbox is very compact.
     

  • Combines all advantages of automatic type and manual type transmissions.
     

  • Mechanical simplicity of design means high reliability and low maintenance cost.

MSS –
The Mechanical
Soft Start

The MSS is truly 3 systems in one and electronically controlled with the following features:

  • Idle running of the motor (no-load start)
     

  • Creeping mode (speed reducer mode) –
    with maximum gear ratio of the MSS, the speed of the output shaft is minimal.
     

  • Smooth start-up – the RPM of the output shaft can be adjusted from zero up to the speed of the input shaft.
     

  • Full clutch mode when the RPM of the output shaft is equal to the RPM of the input shaft.
     

  • Possibility of unlimited long high-thrust operation at extremely low output speeds.
     

  • Torque at low output speeds (speed reducer mode) can exceed 10-20 times the torque of the power source.

 

The MSS combined with MVT is THE solution for heavy duty applications where smaller motors can move more mass using less power.
